June 5, 2023

  • Juan Barbosa-Gomez, 30, Lake Bluff, was served a warrant on charges of class 4 felony aggravated fleeing and misdemeanor reckless driving and driving on a suspended license. The charges were filed May 6, 2022.

June 7, 2023

  • Juan Garcia, 27, Galesburg, was served a warrant on a charge of class 3 felony aggravated battery/public place. The charge was filed Sept. 16, 2022.

June 17, 2023

  • Devon D. Williams, 25, Galesburg, was served a warrant on a charge of class 1 felony sexual assault/consent/prior conviction. The charge was filed Aug. 25, 2021.

July 5, 2023

  • William Brown, 32, Menard, was served a warrant on a charge of class 2 felony aggravated battery/officer. The charge was filed July 22, 2022.

July 26, 2023

  • Dontavious D. Purnell, 19, Galesburg, was served a warrant on charges of class 2 felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse/victim age 9-17/force and misdemeanor criminal sexual abuse/victim under 5 years younger. The charges were filed Dec. 2, 2022.

May 22, 2023

  • Augustus J. LaRose, 42, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 1 felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse/victim under age 18/trust and was sentenced to 6 years in prison/18 days credit. Charges of class 1 felony criminal sexual assault/supervision/victim age 13-17 and class 2 felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse/more than 5 years older than victim were dismissed. The charges were filed Aug. 18, 2022.

May 25, 2023

  • Bradley A. Canier, 34, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 2 felony meth possession/5-15 grams and was sentenced to 90 days jail/90 days credit and 18 months conditional discharge. Charges of class 1 felony meth delivery/5-15 grams and misdemeanor domestic battery/physical contact were dismissed. The charges were filed Aug. 22, 2022.

  • Maurice L. Claeys III, 41, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 4 felony aggravated fleeing and was sentenced to drug court probation. A misdemeanor charge of reckless driving was dropped. The charges were filed Oct. 28, 2022.

  • Samantha L. Kirk, 31, Galesburg, had charges of class 4 felony false report of offense and false alarm/call to 911 dismissed. The charges were filed Aug. 5, 2022.

  • In a second case, Kirk pleaded guilty to class 3 felony firearm possession with revoked FOID and sentenced to 90 days jail and 2 years conditional discharge. A charge of misdemeanor domestic battery/physical contact was dismissed. The charges were filed Oct. 14, 2022.

June 1, 2023

  • Kevin Lockett Jr., 36, pleaded guilty to three counts of class 2 felony LSD/analog possession and sentenced to 2 years probation. The charges were filed June 10, 2022.

June 5, 2023

  • Michael J. Hubbard, 35, Galesburg, had a charge of class 1 felony aggravated discharge of a firearm dropped. The charge was filed Aug. 19, 2022.

June 6, 2023

  • Emmett Blow, 27, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery/physical contact (reduced from class 3 felony aggravated battery/public place) and was sentenced to 24 months court supervision. The court withholds judgment in the case. The charge was filed June 27, 2022.

  • In a second case, Blow pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of a firearm with FOID revoked (reduced from a class 3 felony level of the same charge) and was sentenced to 24 months court supervision. The charge was filed Nov. 14, 2022.

  • Brandon E. Davis, 40, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 4 felony crash resulting in injury (reduced from class 2 felony failure to report crash with injury) and was sentenced to 2 days jail/1 day credit and 12 months probation. A misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident was dismissed. The charges were filed Nov. 23, 2022.

  • Jasmine Rivera, 27, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor domestic battery/physical contact (reduced from class 3 felony aggravated battery/public place). The charge was filed July 18, 2022.

June 8, 2023

  • Hailey S. Lawson, 21, Galesburg, was found not guilty in a bench trial of a charge of class 3 felony aggravated battery/child under age 13/bodily harm. The charge was filed July 20, 2022.

June 12, 2023

  • Michael J. Hubbard, 35, Galesburg, had a charge of class 3 felony aggravated battery/public place dismissed. The charge was filed Sept. 19, 2022.

June 13, 2023

  • Nicole J. Berry, 40, Galesburg, had charges of class 3 felony forgery and identity theft dismissed. The charges were filed Aug. 12, 2022.

  • In a second case, Berry pleaded guilty to misdemeanor theft of property under $500 and was sentenced to 24 months second chance probation. A charge of class 4 felony use of credit/debit card was dismissed. The charges were filed Dec. 20, 2022.

  • Nellie K. Thorne, 48, Victoria, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal damage to property under $500 (reduced from class 4 felony criminal damage to property over $500) and was sentenced to 12 months conditional discharge. The charge was filed June 10, 2022.

June 14, 2023

  • Devonta Gooden, 29, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 3 felony possession of a firearm by a felon and was sentenced to 2 years in prison/151 days credit. A charge of class 4 felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon was dismissed. The charges were filed Sept. 17, 2021.

June 15, 2023

  • Travis W. Simpson, 39, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 4 felony criminal damage to property over $500 and was sentenced to 180 days jail/112 days credit and 12 months conditional discharge. Charges of class 4 felony criminal damage to government property under $500 and misdemeanor criminal trespass to vehicles and resisting a peace officer were dismissed. The charges were filed May 6, 2022.

  • In a second case, Simpson had charges of class 4 felony aggravated assault/officer or emergency worker and misdemeanor resisting an officer dismissed. The charges were filed Aug. 29, 2022.

June 16, 2023

  • Gayle A. Sunberg, 64, Galesburg, had charges of class X felony meth delivery/15-100 grams and class 1 felony meth possession/15-100 grams dropped. The charges were filed July 5, 2022.

June 20, 2023

  • Deandre K. Davis, 25, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 4 felony mob action and was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison/125 days credit. Charges of misdemeanor resisting an officer and criminal trespass to state land were dismissed. The charges were filed Nov. 28, 2022.

  • In a second case, Davis pleaded guilty to class 2 felony aggravated battery/correctional employee and was sentenced to 5 years in prison/110 days credit. A charge of class 3 felony aggravated battery/public place was dismissed. The charges were filed Dec. 9, 2022.

June 27, 2023

  • William T. Eilts, 46, Neponset, had a charge of class 3 felony theft over $500 dropped. The charge was filed Dec. 20, 2021.

  • In a second case, Eilts had a charge of class 3 felony theft over $500 dropped. The charge was filed Jan. 18, 2022.

June 28, 2023

  • Daniel C. Johnson, 25, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal damage to property under $500 (reduced from class 4 felony criminal damage to property over $500) and was sentenced to 12 months probation. Charges of class 4 felony criminal damage to property over $500 and two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery/physical contact were dismissed. The charges were filed Dec. 22, 2022.

  • Alan D. Secrist, 47, East Galesburg, had a charge of class 3 felony violation of the sex offender registry dropped. The charge was filed Mar. 28, 2022.

June 29, 2023

  • Rose M. Ward, 24, Galesburg, had a charge of class 3 felony meth possession under 5 grams dropped. The charge was filed June 29, 2022.

July 11, 2023

  • William J. Burns III, 33, Galesburg, had two counts of class 3 felony theft over $500 dropped. The charges were filed Dec. 3, 2021.

  • Jillian C. McCombs, 36, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct and was sentenced to 6 days jail/3 days credit. Charges of class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license were dismissed. The charges were filed July 11, 2022.

  • Greyson S. McKee, 35, Muscatine, Iowa, pleaded guilty to class 3 felony meth possession under 5 grams and was sentenced to 18 days jail/9 days credit and 1 year conditional discharge. A charge of misdemeanor criminal trespass to state land was dismissed. The charges were filed Sept. 9, 2022.

  • Charles L. Randle, 45, Galesburg, had a charge of class 2 felony escape of a felon from a penal institution dismissed. The charge was filed Nov. 21, 2022.

  • Willis B. Rowland, 39, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor meth possession under 5 grams (reduced from class 3 felony meth possession under 5 grams) and was sentenced to 12 months conditional discharge. The charge was filed June 21, 2022.

July 13, 2023

  • Lee J. Steverson, 34, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 1 felony bringing a controlled substance into a penal institution and was sentenced to 4 years in prison. A second count of the same charge was dismissed. The charges were filed July 22, 2022.

July 19, 2023

  • Rachael G. Gladfelter, 51, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 3 felony meth possession under 5 grams and was sentenced to 2 years probation and 30 hours community service. The charge was filed Sept. 29, 2021.

  • Shannon L. Pedigo, 45, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 4 felony retail theft under $300/prior and was sentenced to 6 months probation. The charge was filed Nov. 15, 2022.

July 20, 2023

  • Niecia M. Fields, 40, Galesburg, had a charge of class 4 felony domestic battery/prior dropped. The charge was filed Aug. 2, 2022.

  • In a second case, Fields had two counts of class 4 felony theft under $500/prior dropped. The charges were filed Oct. 28, 2022.

  • In a third case, Fields had a charge of class 3 felony forgery dropped. The charge was filed Nov. 9, 2022.

July 21, 2023

  • Jeremy S. Anselmi, 42, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor meth possession under 5 grams (reduced from class 3 felony meth possession under 5 grams) and was sentenced to 2 years conditional discharge. The charge was filed Apr. 12, 2022.

  • David A. English, 45, Galesburg, has a charge of class 3 felony theft over $500 dropped. The charge was filed Oct. 3, 2022.

  • Hazel Ivy, 32, Galesburg, had charges of class 1 felony aggravated battery/strangle/great bodily harm and class 3 felony aggravated battery/public place. The charges were filed Aug. 4, 2022.

July 24, 2023

  • Ashley A. Claeys, 39, Galesburg, had charges of class 3 felony aggravated battery/public place and misdemeanor retail theft under $300 dropped. The charges were filed Dec. 5, 2022.

July 28, 2023

  • Brandon S. Wilson, 39, Galesburg, had a charge of class 3 felony aggravated battery/nurse dropped. The charge was filed June 9, 2021.

  • In a second case, Wilson had a charge of class 2 felony aggravated battery/peace officer dropped. The charge was filed Oct. 4, 2022.

August 1, 2023

  • Iesha A. Faulkner, 31, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 2 felony identity theft and class 4 felony electronic fraud and was sentenced to 24 months conditional discharge. Four counts of class 1 felony theft/over $10K/school or church, class 2 felony loan fraud over $10K, two counts of class 2 felony aggravated identity theft, and class 3 felony state benefit fraud were dismissed. The charges were filed Mar. 29, 2022.

  • Raymond L. Mesecher III, 28, Monmouth, had a class 3 felony charge of meth possession under 5 grams dropped. The charge was filed May 12, 2022.

  • Paige M. Morgan, 19, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 2 felony possession of a stolen vehicle and was sentenced to 24 months second chance probation and 30 hours community service. A charge of class 2 felony arson was dismissed. The charges were filed Nov. 15, 2022.

August 2, 2023

  • Luciano J. Cantu Jr., 30, Galesburg, had two counts of class 3 felony aggravated battery/public place dismissed. The charges were filed Aug. 22, 2022.

  • In a second case, Cantu pleaded guilty to class 3 felony aggravated battery/public place and was sentenced to 12 months conditional discharge. The charge was filed Aug. 23, 2022.

  • Milton D. Chappell, 25, Peoria, pleaded guilty to class 3 felony firearm possession and sentenced to 3 years in prison/117 days credit. Charges of class X felony armed violence, class 3 felony possession of a firearm by a felon and mfg/delivery of cannabis/30-500 grams, and class 4 felony cannabis possession/100-500 grams were dismissed. The charges were filed July 1, 2021.

  • Akira R. Reed, 22, Galesburg, had charges of class 3 felony aggravated battery/deadly weapon and class 4 felony mob action dropped. The charges were filed Dec. 1, 2022.

August 3, 2023

  • Amy Gerstenberger, 41, Galesburg, was sentenced to 4 years in prison/58 days credit on a charge of class 1 felony meth delivery/5-15 grams, to which she pleaded guilty on June 7. The charge was filed Mar. 4, 2022.
