  • Troyel L. Campbell, 47, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 4 felony aggravated assault and was sentenced to 60 days jail and 2 years conditional discharge. A second count of the same charge, and charges of misdemeanor resisting an officer and disorderly conduct were dismissed. The charges were filed Nov. 18, 2022.

August 31, 2023

  • Deangelo J. Fancher, 23, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 4 felony criminal damage to property over $500 and misdemeanor domestic battery/bodily harm and was sentenced to 46 days jail/46 days credit, 18 months probation, and $500 restitution. Charges of class 2 felony aggravated domestic battery/strangle and misdemeanor theft under $500 were dismissed. The charges were filed June 20.

  • Richard T. Long, 62, Pekin, was sentenced to 180 days jail/77 days credit and 48 months probation. He pleaded guilty to class 2 felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse/victim under age 13 on May 8. The charge was filed Feb. 14.

  • Andrew W. Darmer, 32, Galesburg, had a charge of class 3 felony aggravated battery/strangle dropped. The charge was filed Aug. 18.

September 5, 2023

  • Cedric W. Johnson, 28, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery/bodily harm and resisting an officer. Charges of class 4 felony criminal damage to property over $500 and misdemeanor theft under $500 and interfering with a report of domestic violence were dismissed. The charges were filed Oct. 18, 2022.

  • Mazzy V. Presswood, 24, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor meth possession under 5 grams (reduced from class 3 felony meth possession under 5 grams) and was sentenced to 18 months court supervision. The charge was filed July 21, 2021. The court withholds judgment in the case.

  • Delaney A. Sorenson, 23, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 3 felony theft over $500 and was sentenced to 2 years probation and 30 hours community service. The charge was filed July 8, 2022.

September 8, 2023

  • Garrett C. Mixon, 35, Galesburg, had charges of class 1 felony aggravated discharge of a firearm and class 3 felony possession of a firearm by a felon dropped. The charges were filed Mar. 7.

  • Jose E. Ramirez-Avila, 28, Galesburg, had a charge of class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance dismissed. The charge was filed Apr. 20.

September 11, 2023

  • Christopher P. Rupert, 33, Galesburg, had a charge of class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance dismissed. The charge was filed May 1.

  • In a second case, Rupert pleaded guilty to class 2 felony aggravated battery/peace officer and was sentenced to 70 days jail/35 days credit and 2 years conditional discharge. Two counts of class 2 felony aggravated battery/peace officer and misdemeanor fleeing were dismissed. The charges were filed July 17.

  • In a third case, Rupert had charges of class 4 felony domestic battery/prior and misdemeanor criminal damage to property under $500 and two counts of battery/bodily harm dismissed. The charges were filed July 31. 

September 12, 2023

  • Elijah Branch Jr., 29, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 4 felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and was sentenced to 100 days jail/50 days credit and 2 years conditional discharge. Charges of class 3 felony child endangerment and class 4 felony reckless discharge of a firearm were dismissed. The charges were filed July 31.

  • Terry W. Kalb, 58, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 3 felony meth possession under 5 grams and was sentenced to 20 days jail/10 days credit and 18 months conditional discharge. A charge of misdemeanor possession of criminal trespass/building was dismissed. The charges were filed July 12.

  • Clayton C. Lewis, 30, Burlington, Iowa, pleaded guilty to class 2 felony cannabis possession/2000-5000 grams and was sentenced to 2 years probation and 30 hours community service. Charges of class 1 felony mfg/delivery of cannabis/2000-5000 grams and cannabis trafficking/2000-5000 grams, and class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance were dismissed. The court is withholding judgment in the case. The charges were filed Apr. 20. 

  • Luz M. Ojeda, 58, Monmouth, had a charge of class 3 felony retail theft over $300 dropped. The charge was filed June 15.

  • Josie C.M. Smith, 22, Galesburg, had a charge of class 3 felony forgery dropped. The charge was filed Apr. 24.

  • Jody A. Walden, 43, Galesburg, had charges of class 1 felony residential burglary, class 4 aggravated fleeing, and misdemeanor reckless driving and criminal damage to property under $500 dismissed. The charges were filed Oct. 3, 2022.

  • In a second case, Walden pleaded guilty to class 3 felony theft over $500 and was sentenced to 18 months conditional discharge. Charges of class 1 felony residential burglary and misdemeanor criminal damage to property under $500 were dismissed. The charges were filed Oct. 3, 2022.

  • Charmaine R. Morrison, 26, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor aggravated fleeing (reduced from class 4 felony) and was sentenced to 2 days in jail/1 day credit and 6 months court supervision. The charge was filed Mar. 31, 2022.

September 15, 2023

  • Lester W.T. Mixon, 60, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 4 felony theft under $500/prior and was sentenced to 90 days jail/45 days credit and 18 months conditional discharge. The charge was filed Apr. 17.

  • In a second case, Mixon had a charge of class 4 felony theft under $500/prior dismissed. The charge was filed June 26.

  • In a third case, Mixon pleaded guilty to class 3 felony meth possession under 5 grams and was sentenced to 90 days jail/45 days credit and 18 months conditional discharge. A charge of misdemeanor resisting an officer was dismissed. The charges were filed July 27.

  • In a fourth case, Mixon had charges of class 1 felony mfg/delivery of cocaine/1-15 grams, class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor resisting an officer dismissed. The charges were filed Aug. 24.

  • Travis T. Williams, 43, pleaded guilty to class 2 felony aggravated DUI/crash/death. He is scheduled for sentencing on Dec. 11. The charge was filed Nov. 3, 2021.

September 18, 2023

  • Trangi Weatherspoon, 51, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance (reduced from class 4 felony) and was sentenced to 6 months conditional discharge and 20 hours community service. The charge was filed Aug. 4.

September 19, 2023

  • Gregory G. Wall, 46, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 3 felony meth possession under 5 grams and was sentenced to 38 days jail/19 days credit, 18 months probation, and 50 hours community service. The charge was filed Sept. 5.

September 25, 2023

  • Terry T. Hall, 69, Monmouth, had a charge of class 3 felony forgery dropped. The charge was filed Jan. 31.

  • Kandace L. Morales, 36, Galesburg, had a charge of class 2 felony possession of a stolen vehicle dismissed. The charge was filed Oct. 5, 2021.

  • George G. Sutton Jr., 40, Galesburg, had a charge of class 4 felony possession of a controlled substance and a minor traffic charge dismissed. The charges were filed Feb. 1, 2022.

  • Martae H. West, 30, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 3 felony possession of a firearm by a felon and was sentenced to 30 months drug court probation. The charge was filed June 30.

September 27, 2023

  • Douglas L. Lee, 41, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to class 3 felony aggravated battery/victim age 60+ and was sentenced to 60 days jail/60 days credit and 2 years probation. Charges of class 3 felony aggravated battery/deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic battery/bodily harm were dismissed. The charges were filed Jan. 4.

  • Riley D. McLean, 18, Kewanee, had a charge of class 4 felony criminal damage to government property under $500 dismissed. The charge was filed May 22.

  • In a second case, McLean pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery/physical contact (reduced from class 3 felony aggravated battery/public place) and was sentenced to 66 days jail/33 days credit and 2 years conditional discharge. The charge was filed May 22.

  • Nathan Nicholson, 35, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor criminal trespass residence (reduced from class 4 felony).

October 3, 2023

  • James G. Erwin, 44, Wataga, had charges of class 3 felony meth possession under 5 grams, and misdemeanor unlawful use of cannabis, driving on a suspended license, and possession of drug paraphernalia dismissed. The charges were filed May 3.

  • Alexander T. Miller, 25, Monmouth, had a charge of class 4 felony criminal damage to property over $500 dropped. The charge was filed June 22.

  • Kimberly A. Shoen, 33, Kewanee, had a charge of class 4 felony aggravated DUI/crash/bodily harm and two two minor traffic charges dropped. The charges were filed July 26.

  • Christina L. Smith, 49, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor meth possession under 5 grams (reduced from class 3 felony) and was sentenced to 18 months conditional discharge. The charge was filed July 10.

  • Cody J. Thomas Jr., 22, Galesburg, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor domestic battery/physical contact and was sentenced to 1 year court supervision and fined $75. A charge of class 4 felony mob action was dismissed. The charges were filed June 20.

October 4, 2023

  • Destin G. Sundberg, 19, Galesburg, had charges of class X felony meth possession/400-900 grams and meth delivery/400-900 grams and class 2 felony armed violence dismissed. The charges were filed Jan. 9.

  • Archie G. Treadway, 29, Galesburg, had a charge of class 2 felony aggravated domestic battery/strangle dismissed. The charge was filed June 20.
